Day 1 - 3: Aurland, Norway

Hike through the ‘Grand Canyon of the North’, Aurlandsdalen Valley.

If you’re lucky enough to catch them witness the Northern Lights whilst enjoying a warm cup of cocoa.

Set on the incredible Norwegian fjords, Aurland is the ideal place to start your Norwegian trip. An adventurers haven; where hiking and fishing are local law, and a chance to see the Northern Lights looms in the sky.

After a local flight from Oslo to Aurland, you’ll be transferred to Aurland 292; a boutique hotel and farm. On arrival get a tour of the farm and an understanding of the local culture. Whilst in the area walk through the Aurlandsdalen Valley, the “Grand Canyon of the North”, before heading back to the hotel and warming up by the fire. Enjoy the delicious local food, a lot of which comes from sustainably farmed local goats, and then make a cup of cocoa whilst waiting for the spectacular Aurora Borealis.

Day 3 - 5: Lofeten Islands, Norway

Take a rowboat across the fjords whilst admiring the the mountains sitting on the fjord.

Watch the Northern Lights dance above you whilst lying in a warm jacuzzi.

Stay above the Arctic Circle on a remote island in the middle of a fjord and completely escape everyday life.

After your flight from Aurland to Svolvær lufthavn, you will be transferred to your hotel Nyvågar Rorbuhotell located on the Lofoten Islands. Each room is right on the water and so on arrival marvel at the glorious archipelago whilst on a rowboat, provided by the hotel. The Lofoten Islands are located right below the auroral oval (a ‘footprint’ in the atmosphere where solar winds directly clash with the atmosphere’s field lines, creating the Northern Lights), therefore you will have extremely high chances of seeing the Aurora Borealis. As well as this you will have chances to go hiking, canoeing and wildlife watching during your time

Day 5 - 8: Lyngen Lodge, Norway

Venture up the Norwegian slopes and spend the day skiing with a breath taking landscape Take two Northern Lights specialised photography lessons to ensure that you can seize the spectacular Northern Lights display

Finish your trip at Lyngen ‘the gates to the Arctic circle’; this area of Northern Norway is the pinnacle place to catch the Northern Lights. Having flown to Tromso, you will then be transferred to Lyngen Lodge, a boutique lodge hotel that promotes a wide-range of outdoor activities. On arrival get straight into to it and embark on a husky-sledding extravaganza, letting your new canine friends lead you across the Lyngen Alps. After an adventurous day out, cosy up by fires and the geothermal heating in the lodge before having a specialised Northern Lights photography lesson. These lessons will assure that when the opportunity arises guests will be able to capture the spectacle of the Aurora Borealis and remember it forever
