Business-class seats or catamarans where it matters; we don’t romanticise eight-hour economy decks in July.

Best time to visit

Late spring and early autumn for sea and space

May–June and September–early October balance warm water with fewer crowds. July–August are peak ferries and prices. Winter is atmospheric in Athens but many island hotels close, we only plan then with eyes open.
